Retro Editor Profile

Hello, I'm Jasmine! I am your Retro Editor, here to pull you straight into the magic of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Retro Era Vibes is where I chase the thrill, glamour, oddball details, and cultural aftershocks of the decades that still refuse to stay in the past.

The Origin Story

Where the Vintage Obsession Started

My love affair with vintage style started in the least glamorous place possible: my grandmother's crowded hallway closet. One rainy afternoon, I was digging through old boxes and winter coats when I found a soft 70s dress folded behind a stack of blankets. It smelled faintly of perfume, cedar, and time. I was finished for life.

After that, I became the girl who could lose entire afternoons in flea markets, brushing dust off forgotten handbags, cracked costume jewelry, and old record sleeves. I still remember the first time I brought home a box of cassettes just for the thrill of hearing that imperfect hiss before the music began.

This site grew out of that feeling. Not trend-chasing. Not content farming. Just genuine obsession, sharpened into a project I wanted to build properly.

The Mission

Why This Archive Exists

I am not here to hand out dry dates and encyclopedia-style trivia. I want the real pulse underneath the nostalgia. The rebellious energy behind flapper dresses. The way the Walkman changed street style. The style secrets hidden inside iconic pieces people still copy now.

Retro Era Vibes is for readers who want more than surface sparkle. I want to show you why these objects, looks, and cultural moments mattered, what made them strange or brilliant, and how you can fold that same spirit into your life today.

Quirks & Human Touch

A Few Fast Facts About Me

  • Favorite Decade: The late 70s rolling into the early 80s. Studio 54 energy, always.
  • Weaknesses: Excessive shoulder pads and real silk scarves found for suspiciously low prices.
  • Motto: Every old object has a secret worth telling.
